Effective annual rate

Flat interest is charged on the original amount for the whole loan, even as you pay it down. The effective rate shows the true yearly cost, so it is always higher than the flat rate.

Flat rate vs effective rate

A 12% flat rate on RM10,000 over 24 months costs RM2,400 in interest. Because you repay part of the loan every month, the effective annual rate on that loan is about 21.6%. Always compare effective rates between lenders.

What stamp duty is

Loan agreements in Malaysia are stamped with LHDN at 0.5% of the loan amount. On RM10,000 that is RM50, paid once when you sign. It is a government duty, not our fee.

Why we show the highest rate

Until we assess your income and commitments we can't promise a lower rate. Showing the top of the range means your real offer can only be the same or cheaper.
